 Seeing Things Which Are There is a nonlinear self-contained DOOM megawad about unreality, trauma, struggles with vivid memories and dreams, living through an apocalypse, and loneliness.
-# MECHANICS
 Unlike many Doom wads, the game is not a boomer shooter, or a bullet hell, but a survival horror game. Combat is slow, methodical, and often more of a puzzle than a skilled encounter. It's also nonlinear, more like Heretic or Hexen, with qualitative storytelling elements.

+The player starts Beneath the Second Sky, below The Crucifixion, with [[stwat:characters:Mulberry]] nearby. They have a short dialogue, where they are instructed to head down to the base of the mountain, to the shrine of The [[stwat:characters:Matron]].

+## Act 1 - Alice is Dead
+Termite awakens at the Crucifixion, with her empty hands and a journal. She meets Mulberry, descends to the shrine of the Matron, and receives [[stwat:weapon:the_knife|the raven headed knife]] from her. The matron tells her that the one she is looking for is far below here. She bumps into March. She then must head to the white lake to descend to the poolrooms in search of Abaddon. The shrine is defaced, with evidence of a previous person having wandered through it. If you bring Spurned Candles to the shrine, you can speak to [[stwat:characters:Anacra]]. You will find a pair of broken glasses there, and a note from the vandal that you need to stop seeing sometimes. Taking the broken glasses lets Termite remove her glasses, which is necessary to fight off The Jabberwock.

+With the ability to remove her glasses, Termite can now safely traverse The Frontrooms. Traversing through all her lost homes, she bumps into March, who warns her not to kill the Jabberwock. She passively agrees due to his irate hostility.

+However, upon reaching the lair of the jabberwock, it refuses to let her go, and they fight to the death. It slinks off down to the shore of its sea, where it goes to die. Termite follows it, and demands to know why it stalked her all its life. Its answer is unsatisfactory, but before Termite has time to process it, March has followed her in, and confronts her. He immediately attacks her. They fight, and he dies. She takes [[stwat:weapon:his shovel]]. She leaves Friend's shovel with him, as it is not hers to take. She may optionally bury March with Friend's shovel, which will increase [[stwat:qualities:Bury the Dead]]. The Jabberwock is dragged into the sea by the tide.

+Returning to the shrine of the matron, Termite can now dig through the only soil on Holy Mountain, and descend. As she travels through the passage deeper, she is stopped by a pool of water. The only way deeper is to dive in. At this point [[stwat:characters:THINGS WHICH ARE THERE]] finally talks directly to her. She invokes Abaddon's axiom, and descends.

- You descend holy mountain and get the raven headed dagger. From there you can go to the frontrooms and the escarpment. The frontrooms hold the lair of [[stwat:characters:jabberwock|the jabberwock]]. You can't get there without the broken glasses. The broken glasses you need to get from [[stwat:loc:sky1:the poolrooms]]. Also in the poolrooms is a shrine to Abaddon. however if you collect the spurned candles from the village you can talk to Anacra at the shrine. Using the glasses you can reach the lair of the jabberwock, where you can kill it to fight March. once you have March's shovel you can descend.
